“Fashion changes, but style endures.” ― Coco Chanel
Matric is one of those years that are a mix of emotions. It’s a year that you remember for the rest of your life especially your matric dance. That one night during your teen years that means the most to you and whats the best way to keep those memories alive? That’s right…. Matric dance photoshoots.
This amazing couple Ari Smith and Hannah Jossel gave me the honour of capturing this special memory for them alongside their family. We headed off to James and Ethel Grey park for and afternoon photoshoot. Starting off with Ari and his family.
Seeing the love that his grandmothers have in their eyes as they see how handsome and grown up he look, makes my job as their photographer very easy as their emotions pour out of them.
When Hannah arrived with her family, everyone was amazed at how magnificent she looked and that sure did show in Ari’s face when he saw her. She walked towards him with a smile beaming from ear to ear. Ari was a perfect gentleman handing her a bouquet of beautiful red roses and telling her how incredible she looked, he held her hand all the way down to the location. The pictures captured that bond between this beautiful couple.
Hannah’s dress was impeccably made and fitted her like a glove. She was dressed to the nine’s. She picked the best colour in the colour wheel, but I might be biased as she chose my favourite colour. She looked like a princess ( ps: I write this while listening to a disney classics mix, I might look like an adult but I’m still a disney kid at heart, hence the princess comment) and I do hope she had the night fit for a princess.
Ari and Hannah thank you ever so much for allowing me to capture such an important memory for you!
